Barbie, the biggest summer film of the year, has turned digital. It is officially a girls’ night on the living room couch as fans of the highest-grossing film can stream from home.

Barbie, starring Ryan Gosling (Ken) and Margot Robbie (Barbie), broke records at the box office with its release date on July 21. The Barbie film, directed by Great Gerwig, has earned over $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the biggest-earning Warner Bros. movie set to date. The live-action Barbie film highlights the importance of self-acceptance and authenticity; it explores several themes such as gender roles, societal norms, and much more.

According to Amazon Prime, Barbie will be available for streaming service on September 12, midnight (ET). West Coaster’s release date is September 11 at 9 p.m. Viewers can watch on other platforms, like Apple TV, Google Play, and more. The original release date for Sept. 2  was pushed back until next week. Fans can rent the film for 48 hours at the suggested price of $24.99.

Barbie goes through a journey throughout the film as she begins questioning her world and existence. Her sort-of boyfriend (Ken) comes along for the ride, seeking Barbie’s approval. In the midst of it all, Barbie suffers an existential crisis as she enters the real world. Which only leads to various events that take her out of the plastic land and into real human experiences.
