David Beckham’s former mistress, Rebecca Loos, accuses the football star of playing the victim in his new Netflix documentary Beckham.

After watching Netflix’s newest documentary, Beckham, Rebecca Loos is ready to give her input and share her frustrations.

Loos sits in aggravation as she watches Beckham recall the details and aftermath of the two’s affair. Though his words felt calculated and thought out, what’s left unspoken causes Loos dismay.

The affair between Beckham and Loos occurred over two decades ago and was aired to the public when Loos brought the details of the relationship into light. The details and allegations caused a widespread media frenzy, yet Beckham remained disengaged. Loos was shocked when the details of their entanglement were readdressed after all this time.

Beckham’s new Netflix series “tells the inside story of a global football star and cultural icon” leaving no subject “off the table.” However, Beckham isn’t exactly put on the spot regarding the affair. Instead, he is simply asked how he dealt with the tabloids and the frenzy that ensued.

In a very vague and indirect manner, Beckham comments how the situation was “horrible” and left him “feeling sick every day.” Loos sees the football star’s response as victimizing. “It’s all, ‘poor me.’ He needs to take responsibility.”

She followed by stating “he can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as a victim.” “He’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories.”

Loos would’ve preferred the past stayed buried and never touched on in the newest documentary series. After years of peace from the media scandals, Loos is dragged back into the spotlight.

Even in the beautiful mountains of Norway, where Loos currently resides, she is not beyond harassment and internet trolling. “Yes, the stories were horrible, but they’re true,” Loos remarks. “He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life and shutting it down.”

While personal relationships do tend to be a private matter, this relationship scandal has found itself to be a very public one. With hopes of putting the past behind them for good, Loos looks forward to her new life with her loving husband and beautiful children.
