Last Saturday, Noah Kahan made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest alongside Emma Stone and Sarah Sherman.

Earlier this week, the trio teased their episode with a promo on X.

“Hi, I’m Emma Stone, and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest Noah Kahan,” Stone stated in her intro.

“And I Kahan’t wait for the show!” Sherman chimed in, with two confused looks from Kahan and Stone.

“What?” Stone responds. “Noah Kahan’t wait? Get it?” Sherman asked. “No,” Kahan simply responed.

The Vermont-born singer performed songs from his latest album, Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever). Kahan opened with his collaboration with Post Malone “Dial Drunk” and closed with his hit song “Stick Season.”

“It’s been an unbelievable year-and-a-half now…a whirlwind of attention and wonderful outpouring of love from fans,” Kahan told Billboard in September.

After appearing on the Emma Stone-hosted episode, Kahan posted on X to share his excitement. “Had some fun with my buddies and sang for a few people last night,” he wrote. “@nbcsnl thank you for one of the greatest moments of my career.”

Emma Stone is officially a fifth-time host of SNL, becoming the youngest star to get to five. She’s tied with other stars including Dwayne Johnson, Paul Rudd, Melissa McCarthy, and Ben Affleck.

Candice Bergen, the first-ever woman to host the show, welcomed Stone to the club along with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Stone starred in a sketch called “Make Your Kind of Music,” where she portrayed Mitch Lester, a record producer in the 1960s. In the sketch, Stone’s character Lester is working with musician Mama Cass as he records his song.

Stone’s commitment to her part as Lester was commendable, making lasting impressions on audiences across social media. Her sketch was even compared to past SNL classics like “More Cowbell” with Christopher Walken, states Yahoo Entertainment.
