Less than a month after receiving his first Grammy nomination, Troye Sivan received the honor of being named GQ‘s Man of the Year in Sydney, Australia.
Troye Sivan was crowned GQ Man of the Year this past Wednesday in Sydney. The 28-year-old pop star grinned ear-to-ear while accepting his award from actor Ross Lynch at the exclusive event at Bondi Pavilion.

Fifteen awards were handed out throughout the night, but the night belonged to Sivan. The star rocked an all-white Prada outfit while graciously accepting his award and showing his appreciation in a moving speech.
Sivan started by stating “[t]hank you so much everyone. It’s not lost on me the irony of winning Man of the Year when I did drag for the first time this year.”
“I feel more in touch with my femininity than ever. I think it speaks to a point I’d like to make, which is that my relationship with masculinity has been strange my entire life,” he continued.
The pop star emphasised that after winning and accepting the Man of the Year award he would make it a point to stand up for the women and LGBTQ+ people in his life.
Sivan attended the ceremony with his two brothers, Tyde and Steele. The star also opted out of the black tie dress code and instead embraced the beach vibe with his layered all-white long-sleeve top and shorts. His look was completed with a black headpiece and black sneakers.
The event brought a long list of stars who walked the red carpet in their best outfits. In addition to Troye Sivan, the guest list included Ross Lynch, Willow Smith, Robert Irwin, Dylan Alcott, Nathan Cleary, and Riley Keough.
The local A-list celebrity, Robert Irwin, looked ravishing in a sleek black tuxedo. The wildlife star wore a massive grin as he posed next to his date Rorie Buckey. Buckey looked gorgeous in her floor-length, red floral, gown.
