Singer and rapper Doja Cat sparked backlash after posting a selfie showing off her t-shirt with neo-nazi Sam Hyde on it.

Soon after she posted the picture, her fans gave her some serious backlash, which resulted in Doja taking the post down. Later, she uploaded a different selfie with Hyde’s face cropped out of the image. The caption only included multiple eye-roll emojis. However, this only angered her fans and resulted in comments flooding in.

Sam Hyde is known as a previous co-writer on Adult Swim’s Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace. It was later canceled after season one airing due to the features of racist and sexist language. In addition, Hyde donated $5,000 to the founder of The Daily Stormer, a neo-nazi website.

Furthermore, this isn’t the first time the “Say So” singer has offended her fans. The artist has made claims that her two most-streamed albums, Hot Pink and Planet Her, were just quick cash grabs. “planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it. now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop,” she tweeted. Due to the fans’ outrage, she removed it later on. Despite these claims, she continues to make more music, releasing her latest album, Scarlet, in September.

Moreover, in August, the “Paint the Town Red” singer lost nearly 1 million fans after bashing her fans for calling themselves the “Kittenz.” “My fans don’t name themselves sh*t. If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f*cking ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house,” she tweeted.

Instead of mourning losing followers by the thousands, she felt relief. She posted on her Instagram story, “Seeing all these people unfollow makes me feel like I’ve defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long. “It feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who i am and not for who i was.”

For now, Doja Cat is continuing with her life and posting on social media, blocking out her fans’ comments and focusing on herself. She plans on going on her “Scarlet Tourfeaturing rapper Ice Spice this year.
