Ariana Grande Is Divorced After a Year of Separation
Grammy Award-winning singer Ariana Grande and real estate broker Dalton Gomez are officially divorced after over two years of marriage.
The 30-year-old singer filed for divorce in September 2023 due to “irreconcilable differences.” The marriage included a prenuptial agreement, and in October 2023, Grande and Gomez agreed to their divorce settlement. However, they were required to wait six months before a judge could finalize their divorce. On March 19, a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment finalized their divorce and settlement.
According to court documents obtained by the Associated Press, the “we can’t be friends” singer will make a one-time payment of $1.5 million to her ex-husband, with no future alimony. She will also pay him half of the profit from their once-shared home in Los Angeles. Additionally, Grande is responsible for up to $25,000 of her ex-husband’s attorney’s fees.
Before the divorce filing, fans had speculated that there were issues in the marriage, as Grande had been seen without her wedding ring in a TikTok video for her brand, R.E.M. Beauty. The “thank you, next” singer responded to fans, assuring them that her ring was getting cleaned. In July 2023, she was again spotted without her ring at the Wimbledon men’s final in London. The following day, July 17, the pair were confirmed to have been separated since January.
The couple began dating during the pandemic in January 2020 and even quarantined together. In May 2020, they made their first public appearance and confirmed their relationship in the music video for the song “Stuck With U,” by Justin Bieber and the pop songstress herself.
The couple later announced their engagement in December 2020 and got married on May 15, 2021. The wedding was an intimate ceremony at Grande’s home in Montecito, California.

Since marrying her now-ex-husband, Ariana Grande has not released a new album until recently. Eternal Sunshine is the pop singer’s seventh album, and it debuted on March 8. Since its release, the album has already charted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, with her highest-charted song being “we can’t be friends.”
