Ariana Grande’s new album, Eternal Sunshine, has reached Number 1 on the Billboard 200. This is her sixth album to achieve this ranking.

Since the release of Eternal Sunshine on March 8, Grande has been reaching many milestones on the charts. Multiple songs on this album have different rankings on the Billboard Hot 100. Right now twelve of her songs hold these spots. Some of these include, “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” at #1, “Bye” at #25, and “Ordinary Things feat. Nonna” at #55.

Eternal Sunshine is not Grande’s only album to have held the Number 1 spot on the charts. This is her fourth consecutive album to do so, and sixth overall. Her previous albums to have held this position have been, Yours Truly (2013), My Everything (2014), Thank U, Next (2019), and Positions (2020). Additionally, Grande’s 2016 album, Dangerous Woman reached the top ten, but only made it to the number 2 spot.

The Wicked star’s album, Thank U, Next, produced two singles that hit Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Thank U, Next” and “Seven Rings,” were the ones to previously hit Number 1, Now, Eternal Sunshine has reached the same accomplishment. Moreover, the songs, “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” have also hit Number 1. Grande officially has the most #1 debuts as a female artist on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Taylor Swift with this accomplishment.

In addition to breaking these records, Eternal Sunshine also reached 77,000 album sales. This makes it the largest release of this year so far. According to Billboard, Grande’s album is, “surpassing the debut of Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 1, which bowed with 148,000 (chart dated February 24).”

The album has had much success on music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and more. Upon the release of Eternal Sunshine, the songs have reached 195 million streams. This was achieved during the first 7 days of the album’s release. Moreover, this tallies into 148,000 streaming equivalent units. This album has been a massive success for the “Yes, And?” singer.
