Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has just announced that the beauty brand, a staple in the United States, is expanding to Sephora stores across China starting April 1.

Worldwide expansion is monumental for the all-inclusive beauty brand, with its estimated brand value to be $1.4 billion. The brand managed to develop a cult-like following and support in the United States, but with overseas expansion, its value is only going up from here.

Launched by Rihanna on September 8, 2017, the brand has garnered mass praise and fan dedication. From the “Fenty Fam” favorite Gloss Bomb to the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, an expansion to selling products internationally was bound to happen.

However, this is not the first time the iconic beauty brand has traveled overseas. Back in September 2019, the singer announced that the brand would be selling internationally in Hong Kong and Seoul. Since then, the brand has quickly become a global phenomenon with stores in Australia, Canada, France, and Italy, just to name a few.

When it comes to expanding the brand’s presence in China, Rihanna is thrilled that its finally happening. “China has such a rich culture that has always inspired me and I cannot wait to share Fenty Beauty with you all, celebrating your unique beauty,” the “Umbrella” singer stated.

The main pillar of Rihanna’s brand is to celebrate diversity and inclusivity. “Makeup is there for you to play with. It’s there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure, and it should never feel like a uniform,” the brand’s website states.

With the official launch of the brand in China less than a week away, excitement is building up for fans who cannot wait to create their own Fenty looks. However, fans questioned whether the brand will be testing on animals since they will operate under China’s policies.

In response to a fan asking if the brand will test on animals, Fenty Beauty replied, “Never.
