Ariana Madix Replaces Sarah Hyland as Love Island USA Host
Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix will replace Sarah Hyland as the host of Love Island USA.
On March 27, Hyland revealed that she will not return to host the next season of Love Island USA. The Modern Family actress joined the reality competition back in 2022 during its fourth season.
In an Instagram story, Hyland confessed, “I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer. I have committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for LOVE ISLAND USA.”
Although upset at being unable to return, the star shared her support for the series. “While I’m sad I can’t return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season,” Hyland expressed.
The actress exited the program after hosting two seasons. According to TMZ, Madix will take over the role.
This news comes as part of a series of outstanding achievements for the reality star. Madix made her Broadway debut when she portrayed Roxie Hart in Chicago. The actress described the role as “the biggest dream come true.” She also impressed by achieving third place in Dancing with the Stars.
In light of the news, many fans took to social media to share their reactions. Some joked about Madix’s Vanderpump Rules co-star, Scheana Shay, being upset at seeing her castmate succeed once again. Shay previously spoke about how finding out about Madix’s casting on Dancing with the Stars hurt her, as she also hoped to appear on the dance competition program.
