Zendaya Serves On The Challengers Press Tour
The press tour for the upcoming Lucas Guadagnino film Challengers started in Sydney on March 26. Since then, Zendaya has given her best on-theme looks.
Whenever there is a press tour for one of Zendaya’s projects, she and Law Roach, her stylist, always commit to bringing outfits that callback to her character and the film’s universe. The press tour for her newest project, Challengers, is the same. For example, she started wearing blonde hair for the press tour on March 26.
She kicked off the press tour wearing a green gown designed by Loewe, which featured a tennis player hitting a tennis ball. Jonathan Anderson, the brand’s creative director, is also the costume designer for Challengers.

Previously, during the Spider-Man trilogy and Dune press tours, Zendaya was praised for embodying her characters or the universe of the films. To illustrate, the spiderweb Valentino dress, the wet-looking leather Balmain dress, and the vintage Mugler robot-like suit.
The Euphoria star’s choice of color palette for the tour is heavily influenced by colors from the tennis universe: green shades similar to a tennis court’s color, yellow like a tennis ball, and all-white outfits inspired by the sport’s all-white dress code. The aesthetics she is opting for are more timeless designs and vintage-inspired shapes.

Some brands featured the most in Zendaya’s outfits for this press tour include Bulgari, for which she has been an ambassador since 2020, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Loewe. From previous press tours and red carpets, it is clear that Zendaya and Roach can pull archive and custom pieces for the It-girl. Some examples from this press tour include a two-piece green suit by Louis Vuitton 1999, a couple of custom pieces by Loewe, and a mod shift dress by Marc Jacobs 2013.
On top of that, she wore a piece by Lacoste. The brand is especially relevant in this scenario since they were founded in 1933 by Rene Lacoste. Lacoste is a tennis legend who won seven Grand Slams, which means winning all four major tournaments in one category in a calendar year.

In May, Zendaya will be one of the co-chairs for the MET Gala alongside Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Anna Wintour. Anderson is an honorary chair beside TikTok’s CEO, Shou Zi Chew. Therefore, Zendaya wearing many pieces by Loewe can also be a nod to the MET Gala.
Challengers have an incredible crew. For example, Oscar-nominee director Lucas Guadagnino is also known for projects such as Call Me By Your Name and Bones and All. Also, the two main actors alongside Zendaya are Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story’s Riff, Mike Faist, and British actor Josh O’Connor.
