Tom Holland Shares New Projects in the Works
In an interview with Deadline, Tom Holland talked about his experience with the Spider-Man franchise and his plans for future films.
While meeting on a golf course, Holland talked with Deadline about what’s next in his career. The interviewer asked whether he would return for a fourth Spider-Man film. He asserted, “The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films.”
Moreover, he stated, “I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So, the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more.”
However, there is a more complicated answer to the question, Holland emphasized the importance of keeping the legacy within the Spider-Man films. He stated, “The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”
These next steps for Holland excite him, he added, “This is the first time in this process that I’ve been part of the creative so early. It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things.”
Furthermore, Spider-Man: No Way Home opened in December 2021 and raked in $260 Million the first weekend in theaters, making it the second-highest opening ever at the domestic box office. Holland stars alongside Zendaya, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield in this film.
Holland’s most recent on-screen work was the Apple mini-series The Crowded Room with Amanda Seyfried, Sasha Lane, and Will Chase. The series was created by Akiva Goldsman and inspired by the book The Minds of Billy Milligan. The Spider-Man actor told Deadline he is now engaged in various projects.
Since the writer’s strike has ended, production has been able to resume, Holland asserted, “We’re figuring it out. We’re at that stage where it’s post-strike, so we’re waiting for those scripts to come in.”
