Sabrina Carpenter Stuns on This Year’s MET Gala Carpet
Sabrina Carpenter is working late because she’s heading to the 2024 MET Gala. As she dashed out of the Pierre Hotel, she was met with gasps and screams from fans, astonished by her princess-esque gown.

The “Espresso” singer donned an Oscar de la Renta mermaid-style gown, which featured a black bodice trickling down into a light blue, puffy train. In a prologue to the iconic first Monday in May, the designer’s Instagram page posted a set of teasers filmed in the atelier.

In one particular video, designers mix blue dyes similar to the artists’ gown, showcasing de la Renta’s commitment to unveiling looks that will take our breath away.
Although it was not explicitly stated who the piece was for, fans of the designer were already gearing up for the big day. “The most excited about ODR’s looks no one does florals better than them,” one user wrote.
Over the past few months, there hasn’t been a shortage of content from the performer, especially given her recent sets at Coachella. One thing all fans can agree on is her fun, short, sassy outfits, so, the long gown is a nice change of pace.
However, she made sure to embed some of her signature style into tonight’s look. We all know it isn’t Carpenter without her signature platform heels. This time, she opted for a black, shiny, open-toe heel that gives her that added height boost but is ultimately hidden.
As for hair, she’s kept her soft waves and pulled them into a sleek half-up-half-down style. Also taking the internet by storm lately has been the singer’s glowy, rosy-cheek glam, which has TikTokers in a chokehold trying to duplicate the look.
Tonight, her makeup is more on the neutral side, with toned-down cheeks; however, her makeup artist did indeed understand the assignment in allowing her outfit to be the main star of the show.
The now two-time MET Gala attendee did not disappoint, and as her career soars to new heights, we can expect to see Sabrina Carpenter on the steps of the MET for years to come.
