According to the company’s website, its goal is to raise 100 million dollars over the next 10 years through the fund. Gomez also highlights Rare Beauty’s mission as promoting that nobody needs makeup. The “Lose You to Love Me” singer is very outspoken when it comes to self-love and positivity. She reveals in the interview, “I hope I don’t, and I hope Rare Beauty doesn’t, give off the vibe that you have to do anything.” The makeup brand sells beauty products on the basis of not needing them, a departure from other companies.

The advocate further adds that her products aim to be affordable luxury items, widening her target market and accessibility for all.
