Earlier this week, Justin Timberlake was arrested for a DWI after driving recklessly in the Hamptons. The singer was also charged with two traffic violations.

On July 18, just before 12:30 A.M., the 43-year-old pop star drove onto the road after drinking with his friends at the American Hotel bar in Sag Harbor, New York. A witness told the New York Post that Timberlake had been drinking excessively before getting behind the wheel and that he had even stolen someone else’s drink while at the hotel bar.

Later that night, as a police report describes, the “SexyBack” singer was stopped by police in Sag Harbor for running a stop sign and swerving outside his lane.

Police officers described in their report that they found the former NSYNC member “in an intoxicated condition,” with slowed speech, “bloodshot and glassy” eyes, and a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

The “Mirrors” singer reportedly “performed poorly” on a field sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer test three times. He then spent the rest of the night held in custody at the Hamptons police station.

On the morning of June 18, Timberlake was released from custody and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two traffic violations: one for blowing a stop sign and another for swerving between lanes.

Since he refused to take a breathalyzer test, the father of two is currently prohibited from driving in the state of New York. His attorney, Eddie Burke Jr., will represent him in court.

Though his recent behavior has caused concern, Timberlake has “no plans to check into a rehab facility” following his DWI arrest, as sources have reported to TMZ. The “Rock Your Body” singer is focused on continuing The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which may be jeopardized by his recent arrest and future court date.

He realized this upon his arrest and voiced his concerns for the tour to his arresting officer, who, according to a source from Page Six, was too young to recognize Timberlake. As the source recalls, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

As of now, Timberlake is set to appear in court on July 26.
