Justin Timberlake is preparing for the drop of his new album Everything I Thought It Was by releasing the track “Drown.”

Last month, he released another track from the album, “Selfish.” The pop singer has five solo albums with the sixth due in March. In 1995, Timberlake joined the popular boy band NSYNC with fellow members JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick, who created the group. Timberlake was the lead vocalist, songwriter, producer, and face of the band. Chasez was the main vocalist and the songwriter and producer with Timberlake. Fatone was the main dancer and Bass joined Timberlake as the face of the group in later years.

Signed to a German label, the group gained popularity just a year after its creation with their hit single “I Want You Back.” They signed to RCA Records in 1998 after the release of the American version of “I Want You Back,” which hit #13 on Billboard. Following that, they released three albums and a holiday album. NSYNC was on the Billboard for numerous songs, including “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “Girlfriend,” and “Bye Bye Bye,” which is their signature song. However, the band officially split in 2004.

Timberlake went solo in 2002 with his first solo album Justified which housed songs “Cry Me a River” and “Rock Your Body.” Both were in the Billboard Top Five. His second album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, was released in 2006 and hit #1 on the Billboard 200. The album produced hit songs “SexyBack,” “My Love,” and “What Goes Around…Comes Around,” all of which hit #1. His third and fourth albums, The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 released in 2013, six months apart. The 20/20 Experience was the best-selling album of the year. Man in the Woods, his last album, dropped in 2018 and was the sixth best-selling album of the year.

Timberlake debuted his acting career in Mark Rosman’s Model Behavior, starring Maggie Lawson, and Kathie Lee Gifford. This was his first starring role. Since then, he has starred in documentaries, like The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart and Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, and fiction films, like Shrek the Third. He was popularized by Bad Teacher, In Time, Friends with Benefits, and the Trolls series. Always known as a musician and dancer, Timberlake has added another title under his belt as an actor.
