The second season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece series has added seven key pieces of talent for its second season, set to begin filming this summer.

Yesterday Variety reported that Daniel Lasker(Raised By Wolves), Camrus Johnson(Batwoman), Jazzara Jaslyn(Warrior), and David Dasmalchian(Late Night with The Devil) would be joining the cast. In addition, all four will be portraying villainous agents of Baroque Works, a company with a vested interest in the crew of the Going Merry.

Firstly, Lasker will portray Mr. 9, an agent wielding a pair of metal bats. Additionally, Johnson will appear as Mr.5, an agent able to turn parts of his body into bombs, with Jaslyn portraying his partner, the weather-controlling Miss Valentine. Finally, Dasmalchian will appear as Mr. 3, a high-ranked agent with a body made of candle wax. Expect these four to have heated battles with Straw Hat Luffy and his crew.

In addition, The Hollywood Reporter revealed three additional actors will be joining the cast. However, they will all serve as allies to Luffy and his friends. Clive Russell(Game of Thrones) will appear as lighthouse keeper Crocus, a former member of the Pirate King’s crew. Meanwhile, Werner Coetser and Brenden Murry will portray Dorry and Brogy, two giants living on the island of Little Garden.

One Piece is a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. After over 25 years, It is the best-selling comic series in the world. In addition, the animated adaptation is one of the longest-running television series to date. The first season of the live-action One Piece was released in August of 2023 and became one of Netflix’s most-watched titles.

Now, the second season will continue the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates as they enter the treacherous seas of the Grand Line. The series stars Iñaki Godoy as Straw Hat Luffy, Emily Rudd as Cat Burglar Nami, and Mackenyu as Pirate Hunter Zoro. In addition, Taz Skyler stars as Black Leg Sanji, and Jacob Romero Gibson portrays Usopp. Finally, Peter Gadiot will likely return as pirate captain Shanks.
