Haute Couture Week has taken Paris by storm, and the fashion world’s preeminent houses have taken center stage. Schiaparelli, Balenciaga, Chanel, and others dazzled audiences this week with exciting fall/winter collections. Many shows boasted impressive guest lists and spectacular settings. With the week’s festivities already winding down, it’s apparent that this year’s Haute Couture Week is one for the books.

Haute Couture Week began on June 24 with a glorious collection from Schiaparelli. The audience was filled with stylish A-listers, including Venus Williams, who appeared in the Vogue World 2024 show last week. Other highlights from day one include the work of Christian Dior, Iris Van Herpen, and Thom Browne.

Chanel led the charge on day two, showcasing their collection in Paris’ Palais Garnier Opera House. The luxurious digs were the perfect choice to display the sophisticated designs. The show was accompanied by soaring music, indulging the cinematic atmosphere. The iconic closing Chanel bride’s ponytail accessorized with a vintage bow was a highlight, and fans expressed their admiration online.

It was gratifying to see the collection go so smoothly after Chanel’s creative director, Virginie Viard, stepped down earlier this month. Attending in style were Sadie Sink, Margaret Zhang, and Zoey Deutch, among others.

Armani Privé’s designs celebrated luxuriant fabrics with trousers of heavy silk and black velvet. The collection’s color palette was primarily restricted to pearly tones and champagne gold, giving the impression that the garments glowed. Cate Blanchett fit right in, donning an elegant black ensemble. Fans were quick to share the look via social media.

Balenciaga continued to push the boundaries with experimental looks, focusing on bold headwear. One standout design transformed the model into a butterfly.

Charli XCX, Nicole Kidman, and Kerry Washington, to name a few, looked fabulous among the audience. Charli XCX’s look was a fan favorite, as seen online.

The Jean Paul Gaultier show welcomed Nicolas Di Felice as a guest designer, and with daring, structural designs, he did not disappoint. Emma Chamberlain attended in an archival Gaultier ensemble.

Another highlight was Elie Saab’s show at Paris’ Musee des Arts Decoratifs. The stunning locale suited the flamboyant designs perfectly. Fashion aficionados touted their favorites from the collection.
