In A Family Affair, King’s character, who, like the other characters, has not been named yet, one day walks in on her mother (Kidman) having an intimate moment with her former film star boss (Efron). Of course, wishing she could take the moment back, the mother, daughter, and former boss now have to bear the consequences and sift through love, sex, and identity; although nothing screams family quite like complexity.

Funny enough, this isn’t the first time Kidman and Efron found themselves in an onscreen whirlwind romance. The two starred alongside Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack in the 2012 film The Paperboy.

When discussing signing on to the film, the Iron Claw actor discussed his slight unease. “I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she as an actress, she is equally kind, caring, and wonderful to spend time with,” he told PEOPLE.

There is no shortage of fun on set as King mentioned the playful dynamic her and Efron had while finding their groove. “Neither of us [was] afraid of messing up, or embarrassing ourselves because we’re just having fun finding out what works,” The Act star stated.

Directed by Richard LaGravenese (P.S. I Love You) and written by Carrie Solomon, featuring Liza Koshy and Kathy Bates, the film is shaping up to be one of the feel-good romcoms of the summer.

Although there is no trailer available yet, A Family Affair hits Netflix on June 28.
