Princess of Wales Graces Wimbledon in Rare Public Appearance
Kate Middleton attended the men’s singles final at Wimbledon on July 14 with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton. The match was her second public appearance since the royal family shared her cancer diagnosis in March.
In June, the royal family disclosed that the princess is “making good progress” with chemotherapy and that treatment is still underway. They add that on the days she feels well “it is a joy to spend personal time on the things that give [her] energy and positivity.”
As royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, it seems tennis is one such energizing thing. As Vogue reported, the princess has always been an avid aficionado of the sport. The crowd erupted into a standing ovation as she took her seat in the Royal Box at center court. Fans were also quick to celebrate the heartwarming moment online. It was heartening to witness such a sincere expression of support.

With her sister and her daughter by her side, the princess watched Spanish champion Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic for the second time. She furnished a smiling Alcaraz with the Wimbledon trophy, and both glowed with genuine excitement.
The Princess of Wales looked stunning in a striking violet dress from Safiyaa, which she paired with nude Camilla Elphick sling-back heels and a bracelet from Halycon Days. She adorned the cap sleeve dress with the customary patron’s brooch, a green and purple bow.
Kate Middleton’s elegant style has been praised and emulated across the globe, and Sunday’s ensemble was no exception. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ X post celebrating her attendance was welcomed by a deluge of positive comments. Fans offered support and admiration and wished for her continued recovery.
