Lady Gaga Surprises Fans With New Music in Snippets From LG7

After an enchanting performance last weekend in Paris, Lady Gaga surprised fans by playing snippets from her upcoming album, which is rumored to be released this year.

Lady Gaga and other stars like Celine Dion were asked to open for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Olympic organizing committee also asked Gaga to perform a sacred French song that honors the French and their pivotal history of the arts, music, and theater. 

For the exceptional performance, Gaga created custom costumes, brushed up her skills in French choreography, and put a modern twist on a French classic. In addition, Gaga revealed some history to her fans. 

She stated, “I bet you didn’t know I used to dance at a 60’s French party on the lower east side when I was first starting out!” In a recent Instagram post, the singer shared that her talent and stage performance had always been present before her career began.

Besides her memorable performance at the Olympics, Gaga has also been teasing fans with new music. Several weeks ago, she posted a picture of herself in the studio, stating that making music feels like “meditation.” The singer also teased, “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”

Fast-forward to last weekend after the Olympic opening ceremony: Gaga met fans outside her hotel for a memorable evening. Besides being a pop superstar and widely known as “Mother Monster,” Gaga will consistently deliver a special gift to her fans. She proceeded to blast snippets of her latest album. While this is not the official name for the upcoming album, LG7 marks the project as her seventh studio album. 

Gaga’s latest teasing of her new album comes as a gift of gratitude from the singer. While away in Paris to prepare for her performance, fans visited her at her hotel in France. 

“I’m so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel. I’m gonna come out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of #LG7,” she wrote.

Gaga stayed true to her word and played two songs from her highly anticipated upcoming album, holding a laptop that played the songs out on the rooftop in a tinted black car. Videos posted across social media show seemingly small sections being played for each track, and fans were screaming with excitement and might have even deciphered what Gaga was singing. 

It is rumored that the upcoming album will lean more toward her eccentric pop phases and albums, such as Chromatica and even ARTPOP. With anticipation growing around a release date for the album, it is truly a waiting game now.
