Olivia Rodrigo Meets Mariah Carey and Her Twins for the First Time

Olivia Rodrigo took pictures backstage with Mariah Carey and her twins Moroccan and Monroe at the star’s Atlanta concert on July 23.

A week after attending the concert, Carey posted the photo to her Instagram.

Carey uses the word “obsessed” in her caption, a nod to both of the singer’s songs of the same name. Rodrigo commented on the post stating, “ur the absolute greatest!!! thank u sm for coming.”

In the first photo, both stars are twinning in their sequined outfits. Carey wore a black sequin mini dress with colorful embroidery of a warrior. The Grammy award-winning icon paired the mini dress with sheer black tights, black knee-high leather boots, and a diamond-encrusted bracelet. The “vampire” singer went for her signature GUTS Tour looks, a personalized white ribbed tank top that reads “peace up! atown down,” rhinestone shorts, and sheer distressed black tights with a star pattern.

Carey’s daughter Monroe also shared the photos on her Instagram, including one where the “so american” singer gave her a personal autograph on a T-shirt. “Roe, all my love!” Rodrigo signed, adding a heart doodle.

Monroe also matched Rodrigo’s style with her own sheer star-embellished tights, an oversized concert merch T-shirt, and a black skirt.

The songwriter’s style has been so loved by fans that concertgoers have made the “GUTS tour outfit inspo” trend on TikTok.

The pop star added her song “obsessed” to the setlist after the GUTS deluxe album dropped. The track made it to number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2009, Carey’s hit of the same name reached number 7 on the chart.

Earlier this year, Rodrigo made a video promoting her song to Carey’s hit from fifteen years ago.

Many other celebrities have attended the GUTS Tour like Rodrigo’s core friend group, Conan Gray, Madison Hu, and Iris Apatow.

Louis Patridge has been to several GUTS shows, including a performance of “so american.”

The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series cast also came to support the actress during her Madison Square Garden shows back in April.

Sofia Wylie went to Rodrigo’s concert in Arizona. A clip went viral of Olivia calling Sofia her “best friend” on stage.

Noah Kahan attended the pop star’s first night in Madison Square Garden and performed his song “Stick Season” with the singer.

Since performing in Atlanta, the artist has made stops in Lexington, KY.; Kansas City, MO.; and Oklahoma City, OK among others. The pop star only has 4 more shows on the final U.S. leg of her tour.
