In a night filled with musical triumphs and unforgettable performances, Sabrina Carpenter emerged as the 2024 VMAs star, winning “Song of the Year” for her chart-topping hit, “Espresso.”

The accolade marks a significant milestone in Carpenter’s evolving career, solidifying her status as a major force in the music industry.

“Espresso” is a track that blends catchy pop beats with lyrical depth. Released as the first single for her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, the song quickly captivated fans and critics alike. With its infectious rhythm and unforgettable chorus, “Espresso” became a summer anthem, dominating streaming platforms and social media.

Her song became an instant fan favorite upon release. The music video, directed by industry veteran Dave Meyers, further elevated the song’s appeal with its vibrant visuals and choreography. As of today, the “Espresso” music video has amassed over 164 million views.

Winning “Song of the Year” at the VMAs is no small feat, especially considering the stiff competition the singer faced. This year, the category was stacked with chart-dominating hits from some of the biggest names in music, including Beyoncé, Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and Teddy Swims.
