BLACKPINK’s Jennie Entering a New Era With Stunning Album Teaser
Jennie, of the iconic K-pop group BLACKPINK, has left fans breathless with the release of the teaser for her highly anticipated solo debut album, Ruby, slated to drop on March 7.
On Ruby, Jennie shared in a video posted to her website portal, “I’ve never done this before, and people kind of assume that this has been in my life. Which is kind of true, but I’ve never really done it on my own. I’ve always had the girls on my side and I was always at a safe environment.”
This album will have 15 songs and feature fellow hit artists Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis. Kali Uchis shared Jennie’s teaser on her Instagram story, commenting, “love our song” in between two white heart emojis.
Since the teaser’s release, fans have been ecstatic, tweeting about their excitement for her upcoming solo album and its featured artists.

She commented, “I think this year is going to be the little seed in my life. A new era for me. It’s finally, finally time for me to show what I’ve been working on and what I’ve been holding onto and just really let it out.”
Just because this is a new era doesn’t mean the old Jennie will vanish. Earlier this month, the artist sat down with Billboard and stated, “I intend to complete myself as Jennie Ruby-Jane, for that to be a whole person, in a way.”
