Live With Kelly and Mark Is Headed to a New Location After 37 Years
Co-hosted by husband and wife, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Live with Kelly and Mark has handed over the keys to its live studio after 37 years. The daytime series has created cherished memories with its audience members and the children who grew up behind the scenes.
The two rekindled their relationship in 1996 after meeting in 1995 during Consuelos’ All My Children audition and co-starred in the series.
They both appeared as surprise guests on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, even though they initially tried to avoid filming the episode. They ended up on stage together to surprise a fan of All My Children and, after reuniting, realized they wanted to be together.
“Obviously, when I saw her, I thought, ‘This is the worst decision of my life. I have to be with her forever,'” the actor told PEOPLE before their final episode at the studio. “So, I asked her to marry me, and we flew to Vegas the next day.”
With that chapter behind them, a fresh start awaits as they begin a new journey in a completely new space at 7 Hudson Square.
Over the years, various hosts have come and gone before Mark officially became a co-host alongside his wife in 2023. Some notable hosts include Regis Philbin, who co-hosted with Kelly Ripa for many years, and Michael Strahan, who took over after Philbin retired. Other temporary co-hosts throughout the years included Ryan Seacrest and Jerry O’Connell.
“It always gets me when I see the kids growing up on this show. It hits you how long and how impactful this place has been for our family,” Consuelos stated.
“When I started working here, we had a three-year-old; now we have three adult children. We’re still a married couple, we were working together then we are working together now. So, like, a lot has changed, and yet nothing has changed,” Ripa shared.
Tickets to see the show at the new downtown studio are still available on the series website.
