Recreate Kali Uchis’ Pearlescent Pink São Paulo Glam for Less Than $55
Kali Uchis took the stage in São Paulo on “The Sincerely Tour,” and while her mesmerizing voice alone was enough to bring the house down, it was her pearlescent pink glam that truly turned heads, instantly earning a spot on our Pinterest inspiration boards.
Believe it or not, recreating this look—whether it’s for your Instagram feed or your next girls’ night out—doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, the entire look, using the exact same products, comes in at under $55 courtesy of Latinx beauty brand Beauty Creations. Even better, the mastermind behind the glam, celebrity makeup artist Etienne Ortega, walked us through how to recreate the look.
Passion Behind the Pink
Uchis’s sweet voice and magnetic presence are usually complemented by bold, lifted, and glowing glam, and this look is no exception. The bold highlighter and reflective, glossy lip radiated to the back of the house, while the baby pink hues across the eyes, lips, and cheeks tied the look together seamlessly.
When asked about what inspired the moment, he told us, “This look was all about modern romanticism with stage presence. I wanted something that felt soft and pink-forward, but still powerful under lights… For me, glam is always about the balance between emotion and structure.”
Because pink can be a trickier shade—often leaning “too sweet” or “too flat,” as Ortega notes—mastering the look came down to thoughtful technique, layering, and understanding how makeup reads from a distance.
“I started by building warmth underneath with bronzer to anchor the face and prevent the blush from floating. Then, I layered cream and powder blush to intensify the pigment without making it look heavy… It’s about contrast: warmth, flush, and highlight working together instead of competing,” he recalled.
Expanding on this idea, Ortega emphasized patience and restraint when applying makeup:
“Focus on layering and blending. Build slowly instead of applying too much at once. Anchor your blush with bronzer, so it feels sculpted, and don’t skip strategic highlight placement. Most importantly, step back from the mirror. What looks subtle up close often reads perfectly from a distance. Makeup should enhance your features, not mask them. Confidence is what really makes it translate.”
High Glam Without the Heavy Pricetag
With technique doing the heavy lifting, Ortega proves that a luxury look doesn’t require luxury price tags. With the help of Beauty Creations, you too can recreate this look at home using the following products:
- Eyebrow Definer Pencil – Dark Brown ($5)
- Powder Blush – My Favorite ($7)
- Cream Bronzer – Tawny ($8)
- Tinted Lip Oil – Pink Me Up ($7)
- Riding Solo Single Shadow – Supernova (eyes + lips) ($6)
- Body Glow Oil – Gold ($10)
- Liquid Blush – Pink Thing ($8)
“Accessibility is powerful. Not everyone has access to luxury beauty, but everyone deserves to feel confident and seen. I’ve always believed artistry is about technique, not price. When you understand placement, blending, and tone, you can create a red-carpet-level look at any price point,” Ortega stated.
At its core, Kali Uchis’ pink glam is a gentle reminder—in an era of nonstop overconsumption—that it’s not about which products you use, but how you use them.
