Promote a rom-com, dress like a rom-com — Lili Reinhart’s looks understood the assignment. While tackling the press tour for the Prime Video film The Love Hypothesis, now streaming, Reinhart took us on a journey through some of our favorite romantic films, revisiting the classics to get in the mood for this new one, adapted from Ali Hazelwood’s 2021 novel.

Thanks to the help of her stylist Ib Abdel Nasser, the actress turned her promotional wardrobe into a nostalgic trip through the genre, with each outfit offering a playful nod to a beloved film. For her Brazil press stop, Reinhart channeled Andie Anderson from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, recreating Kate Hudson’s iconic yellow dress from the film’s finale.

Ever After: A Cinderella Story

For her Germany press stop, Reinhart transformed into Danielle de Barbarac from Ever After: A Cinderella Story, paying homage to Drew Barrymore’s iconic winged look from the 1998 film. The custom Rodarte creation was based on the original costume designed by Jenny Beavan.

Atonement

The actress looked to Atonement for inspiration, recreating the green dress worn by Keira Knightley’s Cecilia Tallis. Her custom Tory Burch look was created for Vogue World: Hollywood and made for quite the BookTok-approved moment.

Thirty, flirty, and thriving. Lili Reinhart was thirty, flirty, and thriving, wearing the same style coat Jennifer Garner wore as Jenna Rink in the beloved 2004 rom-com.

Miss Congeniality 

For another press tour moment, the Personal Day founder channeled Sandra Bullock’s Gracie Hart from Miss Congeniality, wearing a custom Hervé Léger recreation of the iconic look from the 2000 rom-com, based on the costume designed by Susie DeSanto.

Uptown Girls

For her final New York stop, Reinhart paid tribute to one of the most beloved rom-coms, Uptown Girls, channeling Brittany Murphy’s effortlessly whimsical character, Molly Gunn. The look was a sweet nod to the 2003 film and its iconic costume design by Sarah Edwards.

My Date With the President’s Daughter

To wrap up her The Love Hypothesis press tour, Reinhart saved one last homage for Disney’s My Date With the President’s Daughter. Her stylist, Ib Abdelnasser, teased the custom Miu Miu look on Instagram Stories, calling it “nostalgic” and confirming it was the final homage of the tour.
