Jenna Dewan Tatum is an actress, dancer, advocate, and businesswoman, but before she was made famous, she was a cheerleader for her high school in Texas. Dewan-Tatum got her start as a dancer when she danced backup for Janet Jackson’s “Doesn’t Really Matter” and later in “All For You” before she went on tour with Jackson during the All For You Tour. Dewan-Tatum credits Janet Jackson for opening up the door allowing her to start acting and eventually meeting her husband Channing Tatum on the set of Step Up.

The star moved around a lot as a kid and her journey ended in Grapevine, Texas, where she attended Grapevine High School. She graduated from Grapevine High School in 1999 and started her college career at The University of Southern California.
