Alessia Cara Gave an Inspirational Speech After Winning Best New Artist at Grammys 2018

Alessia Cara gives an inspirational speech for artists not recognized after she wins Best New Artist at the 60th Annual Grammy awards.

Alessia Cara won Best New Artist at last nights Grammy Awards in New York City and gave a very inspirational speech for all the artists who are not yet recognized based on social media followings and other forms of popularity.

“Holy Cow,” she stated as took the mic after her win. She talked about how she would “pretend win Grammy’s” in her show as a kid and she never thought she would be winning one for real. She then goes in to talk about artists who are not yet recognized. “I just want to encourage everyone to support real music and real artists,” she stated, “everyone deserves the same shot.”

Alessia Cara is the first Canadian-born artist to win an award at the Grammy’s and she was the only solo female to win a Grammy compared to the male-dominated winning streak that was dominated by Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Ed Sheeran. Regardless, way to go, Alessia Cara, she truly deserves the win.
