Wendy Williams Doesn’t Want Your Pity
Wendy Williams requests that you refrain from bombarding her with questions about her health.
On ABC, Williams told audience members, “When I see you in the streets, the grocery store, don’t ask me with the woo-woo and the puppy eyes. Then I’m going to snap.”
The television host recently took a three-week leave of absence from her show due to the autoimmune disorder that caused her to faint on-stage last October.
Moving forward, she plans to stop prioritizing her job over her health. She also wants other women to learn from her mistake. “We as women…We take care of everyone but ourselves,” she said. “And it’s really unfortunate. And that, that is something that has no socioeconomic thing to it. No matter what, no matter what the woman’s status is, it seems like we’re all in the same boat. And I’m not doing that anymore.”
