Despite touring with Oprah and Pentatonix, and having their song “No Matter Where You Are” featured in The Book of Life, the duo surprised their fans with an America’s Got Talent performance.

You may recognize the husband-and-wife pop group from their six-second covers on Vine, which scored them a Republic Records contract, or from their popular end of the year, top hits medleys on YouTube.

Trying their luck with the AGT judges, Michael and Carissa Alvarado explained their reason for auditioning was because they want to start a family.

Performing their original song, “No Matter Where You Are,” Us The Duo sang “their story” based on their 2012 wedding vows.

The upbeat performance earned a standing ovation from Heidi Klum and the crowd, and approval from Simon Cowell, who loved the chorus.

With “Yesses” from Cowell and Klum, and a “No” from judge Howie Mandel, who thought their sounds was “A little coffee house,” the decision was down to Mel B.

Although the Spice Girl wasn’t completely sold on the act, like Simon, she loved the chorus of the song and voted to let them through to the next round.

We can’t wait to see how far they make it.
