Alessia Cara Announces Her New Song ‘Growing Pains’
Alessia Cara has revealed her first song, “Growing Pains” off of her next album.
Cara took to Twitter to drop hints of the new song. She released lyrics to some fans, asking them to work together to figure out the puzzle.

Afterward, she shared photos of the lyrics of the new song on Twitter. Some of the lyrics include “But still the growing pains, growing / pains they’re keeping me up at night.”

She also posted a photo on Instagram to share the big news. In it, Cara wears a suit too big for her while she tilts her head back, looking stressed. Something we can all relate to, right? In the caption, she says “growing pains, the first song from my sophomore album, will be out june 15th.” So, not only will we be getting a new song from Cara, but a new album in the near future.
It has been about three years since Cara has released solo work, her first album Know-It-All. It gave us topics of growing up while struggling to find out who you are and to love yourself like in “Seventeen, “Here,” and “Scars to Your Beautiful.” Based off of the lyrics to “Growing Pains,” it seems like her next album will be the next level up.
