Colleen Ballinger Live Streams to Raise Money for Childhood Cancer

The YouTube star donates to a cause that’s close to her heart.

For Colleen Ballinger’s 32nd birthday, the Internet star isn’t concerned with getting presents. For the third year in a row, she’s asking fans to donate in her honor to charities that support children battling cancer.

This year, donations will go to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Family Reach, an organization that uses its funds to help families who are struggling financially due to the high cost of medical expenses from cancer treatments.

To encourage fans to donate, Ballinger hosted a live stream giveaway on her YouTube channel. Fans who donated money to the fundraiser became eligible to win a variety of prizes, including some of the performer’s merchandise as well as high demand items like tickets to an Ariana Grande concert and an Ellen taping.

Since the December 1st live stream, donations to the campaign have reached over $80,000.
