Rami Malek Thanks Queen in Golden Globes’ Acceptance Speech
Rami Malek thanks Queen, especially Freddie Mercury, in his acceptance speech and it’s everything.
The Bohemian Rhapsody star wins the award for Best Actor in Motion Picture for his role in the film at the 76th Golden Globes. His acceptance speech was something we never knew we needed and touched our hearts in the most bittersweet way. Along with thanking his family and the people who worked on the biopic, he thanked the band Queen themselves. And of course, he made sure to save the last line for the man he portrayed, Freddie Mercury. “I love you, you beautiful man!” The actor announces at the end of his speech, “This is for and because of you, gorgeous!” He throws a kiss to the audience.

Later, Rami stopped to talk to the HFPA about winning his Golden Globe, saying he honestly couldn’t remember what he said onstage.
