BTS Gets Shout-Out On ‘The Simpsons’
The Kings of K-pop are referenced in a new episode of ‘The Simpsons.’
If you did not already know, 2019 is BTS’s year. The Korean boy-band announced a new album entitled Map of the Soul: Persona, which will drop on April 12.
Map of the Soul: Persona has been predicted to make history as being BTS’ making another No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
In the meantime, in a new episode of the long-running animated comedy, The Simpsons included a reference to the BTS’s famously passionate fan-base ARMY.
On the March 17 episode of the show titled “E My Sport,” The Simpsons smoothly took nod of the band.
In the scene, Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie visit South Korea for a gaming competition. When the family walks down the street, fans saw signs written in a combination of Korean and English that said “BTS here today” as well as “BTS ARMY recruiting center.”
