Nafessa Williams Gives Back to Her Hometown
On Monday, March 18th, “Thunder” brought some light to lucky children in Philadelphia.
Nafessa Williams, accompanied by her “Black Lightning” co-star Marvin Jones III, visited over 50 kids at a Boys & Girls Club in Philadelphia. This visit came out of a nationwide partnership between “Black Lightning” and Boys & Girls Clubs of America called the “Local Hero” initiative. The “Local Hero” initiative is a part of the Youth Development Program Professionals.
Nafessa, West Philadelphia born and raised (sorry, couldn’t resist that moment), wanted to take part in the program in order to let children know that they could be anything they wanted to be in life. Even a kickass superhero like “Thunder” herself!
