DAMOWANG’s Spring/Summer 2020 Collection Incorporates the Old and the New
DAMOWANG hits NYFW with clothing that reflects modern and traditional elements of Chinese culture in modern times.
The designer of this exclusive fashion, Mr. Han Lei, takes WU XIA which is a representative culture in modern China and transforms it into every woman’s desire. He achieves this by contrasting the ever-changing fashion trends with the reserved temperament of the contemporary independent woman.
The fun aspect of the designs are all the elements incorporated into the pieces. He chose to mix and match layered fabrics, wool, flax, organza, coating, rope, animal texture, fishnet, sheepskin, and more to achieve the elusive garments.
There was also a collaboration with partner MESHEEN for bags. The designer has used bamboo, patterns, and ropes to accompany DAMOWANG’s fashion.
Mr. Han Lei, believes that people are living in fragments, and each fragment of reality is superposed into memory.
