See Maren Morris’ ‘The Bones’ Set New Billboard Chart Record

Jamie Nelson

Maren Morris’ “The Bones” breaks Taylor Swift’s record for longest-running song at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart by a solo female artist.

Her previous hit “The Middle,” a collaboration with Zedd and GREY, was her break out song in the pop charts. With her niche being country and folk, she was able to break into the pop genre where her name received even more recognition.

Morris’ song “The Bones” is another exceptional song that is her biggest hit since “The Middle.” It can be found on her second studio album Girl, which won Album of the Year at the 53rd Annual Country Music Association Awards. She co-wrote it with Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz. Check out the longest-running song at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart below.

The record was previously held by Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which was at the top of the charts for 10 weeks. “The Bones” is now in week 11 at the top of the charts. This is her third No. 1 song.

Morris was born in Arlington, Texas and got her start playing gigs around her hometown. In 2013, she moved to Nashville to pursue her dreams. Morris recently celebrated her 7th anniversary of moving to Nashville and shared her story on her Instagram back in January. Check out her post below to see how far she has come in just seven years.

You go girl. Here’s to setting more records. We can’t wait to hear your next No. 1 hit.
