Join Celebrities in the Fight Against Racial Injustice

Celebrities are using their platform as a voice to spread awareness and to advocate for social justice.
As social media has given rise to equal rights movements and activism via hashtags, people across the globe can come together to support civil rights in a non-violent approach. Anna Paquin, Charlie Puth, Alyssa Milano, Khalid, Ariana Grande, Seth Rogan, and more have expressed how important it is to use our voices and our resources to make a change.
Alyssa Milano shared her support for The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF), a non-profit organization that has been crusading for racial justice since 1940. Founded by Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice (1967-1991), LDF has served at the forefront of the crusade for equality through its advocacy on many supreme court cases involving civil rights. Anna Paquin took to Instagram to share the #HangYourHeartProject, a new movement dedicated to raising awareness around racial injustice. The green hearts hung on either windows or doors signify a place of safeguard for anyone who may feel threatened or frightened. The movement was introduced by blog Stories of a Mediocre Mom, written by Amanda Marcotte, and has been gaining followers and supporters since it’s launch. Join the movement and print the green heart located on Marcotte’s blog.
Charlie Puth, among a list of so many celebrities and influencers, shared a link to his Twitter to support the family of peaceful activist George Floyd. You can support #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd by signing a petition to hold those involved in the tragic killing of Floyd fully accountable for their actions. You can visit www.justiceforbigfloyd.com for more information on George Floyd and how we can help support the change the nation is advocating for.
