Netflix Releases Teaser for New Series ‘Away’ Featuring Talitha Bateman
Talitha Bateman stars as the daughter of an astronaut in the upcoming sci-fi drama series Away, coming to Netflix on Sept 4th.
Away stars two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank as Emma Green, an astronaut selected to be the commander of the first mission to Mars. The crew of this three-year mission is made up of people from all over the world, and the characters are tested throughout the series as they attempt to complete their mission. Green must cope with having to leave behind her husband Matt, played by Josh Charles, and her daughter Alexis, played by Bateman.
This 10-episode series is about humanity and hope, illustrating that we are stronger when we come together.
Bateman shared the official teaser on her Instagram, noting that Away begins streaming on the same day as her birthday. The actress will be turning 19 years old on Sept 4.
Bateman recently played Iver in the historical fiction war film Robert the Bruce which can be streamed on iTunes, Amazon, and Google. The film follows the story of Robert, who, after suffering multiple military losses, finds refuge with a peasant woman and three children. Robert forms a powerful bond with the woman, which inspires him and ultimately leads to his military victory.
“I had the time of my life filming this in the bitter snow with my brothers @gabrielmichaelbateman and @pfugit,” wrote Bateman about Robert the Bruce on an Instagram post.
