Zendaya, John David Washington, and ‘Euphoria’ Creator Sam Levinson Secretly Filmed a Movie During the Pandemic
Zendaya, John David Washington, and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson all secretly filmed a movie during the pandemic.
The movie, Malcolm & Marie was filmed between June 17 and July 2 at the Caterpillar House. The place was described as an environmentally glass conscious agricultural marvel on a 33 acre of land. Deadline reported the plot might be similar to the Oscar-nominated movie Marriage Story. This amount of space guaranteed that the cast and crew were respecting the social distancing guidelines.
The producers teamed up with lawyers and health experts to discuss how to safely film during the COVID-19 pandemic. All cast and crew members had to take multiple COVID-19 tests and all had to self- quarantine for two weeks before filming began. During the two-week production, are that were involved in the film had to wear a face mask. Furthermore, rehearsals took place in parking lots, meals were consumed in selected zones, temperatures were checked at the beginning and end of each day, and no more than a dozen members were allowed on set.
All cast and crew members followed other strict protocols which included handling their own costumes and microphones. The WGA, DGA, and SAG-AFTRA all approved the safety protocols.
