Elle Fanning Will Star in Upcoming True-Crime Hulu Series ‘The Girl From Plainville’
Elle Fanning has been the star of The Great, but has just announced she will be starring in a new Hulu crime series, ‘The Girl From Plainville.’

From playing a rising royal, Fanning will go on to play a convicted teenager in the new show, The Girl From Plainville. The series will be based on the 2017 infamous case where Michelle Carter was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after sending texts to her depressed boyfriend, encouraging him to take his own life. The series will explore the relationship between Michelle Carter and her then-boyfriend, late Conrad Roy III.
Fanning released the news of her upcoming show The Girl From Plainville on August 7 via Instagram.

Liz Hannah and Patrick Macmanus will join the show as co-showrunners and executive producers. Besides playing the starring role, Fanning will also produce this series alongside Brittany Kahan Ward.
