Netflix’s ‘The Kissing Booth’ To Become a Trilogy
With the hype and rising fandom of both The Kissing Booth one and two, it comes to no surprise that Netflix is ready to release The Kissing Booth 3 come 2021.
The Kissing Booth 2 took Netflix by storm. Starting where the first film left off, Elle (Joey King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi) are learning how to navigate the challenges of being apart while Elle goes back to high school and he stays at Harvard for his first year. Meanwhile, Lee (Joel Courtney) is trying to figure out how to keep a balance between his new girlfriend and friendship with Elle.
The film was a success. Fans could not stop showing their love for the film, so in response, Netflix had to send back a little love.
The need for more on these characters, fans were quick to ask for a third film.
Although fans will have to wait a little longer for this third installment, director Vince Marcello is dropping hints for the film’s plot. With the film already shot, Marcello teases fans by saying it is “the culmination of this coming of age story – not just for Elle, but for Noah and Lee, as well,” he said during an interview with Variety.
Marcello wants viewers to learn from the characters as they grow individually. He says, “Each has their own journey, with a set of challenges that they need to overcome.” Determined to give the characters an unforgettable farewell, he adds, “After all, the love they’ve shown for this franchise, they deserve nothing less.”
Netflix has also teased fans on both Instagram and YouTube.
