Season Four of ‘The Crown’ Has Its Official Release Date
The much loved Netflix original series, The Crown, has released the premiere date of its fourth season.
The show premiered in late 2016 and has since been nominated for ten Emmy awards. It surfaces around Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s, all the way up until the present day. Claire Foy portrayed the queen for the first two seasons and played the younger version of her. In the past two seasons, Olivia Coleman has taken over to represent Queen Elizabeth II in the years of the 1960s-70s.
This fourth season has been a long time coming, as it was announced over a year ago. The official premiere date for season four of The Crown is November 15th. All ten episodes will be available to stream on this date.
Before the fourth season has even been released, Netflix has already confirmed that there will be an additional two seasons of the show. The sixth season will be their final season. Just as there was a cast change between the second and third seasons, fans can expect to see yet another cast change between the fourth and fifth seasons. Imelda Staunton will be portraying the queen in these final two seasons. They will take place in the early 2000s, showing yet another time in Queen Elizabeth II’s life.
