‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reunion Special Is Coming to HBO Max
Get ready to feel nostalgic, because the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will be reuniting for its 30th reunion special coming to HBO Max.
The special will be produced by Will and Jada Smith’s media company, Westbrook Media, and is set to premiere around Thanksgiving this year. Marcus Raboy is set to direct the unscripted special and Rikki Hughes, Brad Haugen, Miguel Melendez, and Lukas Kaiser will be on as executive producers.
The reunion will take a look back at the beloved series and discuss the cultural impact the show had back in the 90s.
Will Smith will be joined by cast-mates Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and DJ Jazzy Jeff on September 10, the same date the show premiered 30 years ago, to film the special.
The last time the cast came together to look back on the show was in April on Will’s series Will From Home on Snapchat. The two-part episode feature paid tribute to James Avery, the actor who played Philip Banks and passed away in 2014.

without the talent and light that was James Avery. We all love and miss you, James.
It was also announced that earlier this month Will is working on developing a reboot series, which will be a darker reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The reboot is set to look deeper into the racial biases and conflicts black men and women face living in the United States. It is unsure where the series will be streamed, but it is currently being shopped to multiple streaming sites.
