Everyone is Obsessed With Netflix’s ‘Emily in Paris’ and Here’s Why
Netflix’s latest original TV show Emily in Paris starring Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Ashley Park, Camille Razat, and others is the third trending program on Netflix, and here’s why.
Created by Darren Star, the producer of Sex and The City and Younger, this new TV show follows young American Emily Cooper as she begins working at a marketing firm in Paris. Collins is known for her work in Love, Rosie and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Her co-star, Bravo, is known for his work in Smart Ass and her other castmate, Park, is known for originating the role of Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls on Broadway.
Emily in Paris is like the metaphorical baby of The Devil Wears Prada, Sex and the City, and Gossip Girl. With a wardrobe (curated by costume designer Patricia Field) to die for and a handsome French man, Emily’s story is both dreamy and gripping.
This comedy-drama show featuring a journey of self-discovery, love, and adventure is easy to fall in love with.

Collins not only stars in the series but also serves as one of the producers. The show was filmed in Île-de-France, France last year, and began streaming on October 2. There are ten binge-worthy episodes in the first season which are all available to watch on Netflix. Fans have voiced their appreciation for the show on Twitter, and are already calling for a second season.
