BTS Makes History By Holding Top Two Spots on Billboard Hot 100
BTS makes history once again on Monday, October 12, by having two songs at No. 1 and No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart.
The K-pop group’s summer hit “Dynamite,” held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for three nonconsecutive weeks.
Now they have broken record with their song “Savage Love,” featuring Jason Derulo and Jawsh 685, as it replaced “Dynamite,” moving it down to No. 2. This remix is also Derulo’s second No. 1 since his song “Watcha Say” in 2009, and Jawsh 685’s first.

BTS is the first group to hold such a feat since the Black Eyed Peas in 2009 with their songs “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling.”
Jawsh 685, Derulo, and BTS dropped this remix of “Savage Love” earlier this month and revived it from it No. 8 spot on the Hot 100. According to Billboard and Nielsen Music/MCR data, the song “drew 16 million U.S. streams (up 32%) and sold 76,000 downloads (up 814%) in the week ending October 8.”
After Billboard released the historical accomplishment, the BTS ARMY took to Twitter to showcase their excitement.

Billboard also briefly chatted with the septet to give them the news on their new record. When asked how they felt, Suga replied, “surprised, happy, and thankful. It was an unforgettable moment,” Jin then added, “We are so thankful to ARMY. You’re the best.”
Host, Tetris Kelly then proceeded to ask the group what they loved most about their BTS ARMY. Group member J-Hope replied with “their passion, their unconditional love,” as V (Kim Taehyung) inserted, “It’s just them… the way they are with us in everything.”
It is clear to see that BTS and their ARMY are unstoppable.
