Legendary duo Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller are sharing the stage again, this time for a political satire film titled, The Fence.

Woodley and Teller, who previously worked together on both The Spectacular Now and Divergent series, are now taking a different film approach.

The Fence is centered around two liberal newlyweds who move in next-door to a conservative ex-marine. They find themselves at odds with him when he starts putting up a nine-foot-tall fence in order to keep out potential terrorists.

Icelandic director, Grímur Hákonarso, has been tapped to direct the film with a screenplay written by Shane Danielsen. The story stems from one thought up by Hákonarso himself.

This will be the fifth time that Woodley and Teller have appeared together on screen, and they have started to shift into an onscreen duo similar to that of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. For their upcoming film, the two will be joined by Academy Award winner William Hurt as the role of their neighbor.

Woodley is best known for her performances in Big Little Lies, Adrift, The Descendants, The Fault in Our Stars, and White Bird in a Blizzard. She will appear next in Mauritanian, opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Jodie Foster

Teller is recognized for his appearances in Whiplash, Fantastic Four, War Dogs, 21 & Over, and That Awkward Moment. He is scheduled to appear next in the delayed Top Gun: Maverick alongside Tom Cruise and Netflix’s Spiderhead with Chris Hemsworth.

Filming is currently set to begin in March 2021. In the meantime, we will be binging the duos film catalog to prepare for their next movie.
