Netflix Series ‘Outer Banks’ Won the E! People’s Choice Award for the ‘Bingeworthy Show of 2020’
The people have spoken and the people have chosen; Netflix series Outer Banks was the E! People’s Choice Awards most binge-worthy show of the year.
Outer Banks was released earlier this year, in the spring, within the first few weeks of quarantine. Luckily this series, along with several others, was a great new source of entertainment just when we needed it most.

When the nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards were announced, the Outer Banks cast posted a video excitedly thanking everyone for their five nominations and reminding their fans to vote. Fans flooded the comment section with loads of love and support for the group.
The fans showed up, and Outer Banks won The Bingeworthy Show of 2020. Actor Chase Stokes, who plays the main character John B., thanked the fans through his Instagram by sharing a fun group photo celebrating the win. He apologies that the cast was not physically there to accept the awards, but fans will likely be forgiving since season two of the series is currently being filmed.
The teen adventure/mystery show follows character John B. and his friends searching for treasure and answers to his father’s disappearance along with other mysterious matters occurring in Outer Banks, North Carolina. With the constant tension between the Pogues and the Kooks, trouble seems to be around every corner of the island. However, nothing will stop the Pogues from having fun with one another and creating memorable experiences.
There is not a release date for the second season as of yet, but it will likely be sometime next year. Until then, you can re-binge the award-winning series, Outer Banks, as many times as you want on Netflix.
