Kali Uchis has just released her latest album Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios) and many are calling it her best work yet.

The wait is over for Kali Uchis fans after the singer released her sophomore album Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios) yesterday. The album was highly anticipated after initially being put on hold due to COVID-19. It’s finally here and it was well worth the wait.

Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios), meaning “Without Fear (Of Love and Other Demons),” is Uchis’ first album that’s sung almost entirely in Spanish, and many weren’t really sure what to expect. Uchis recently responded to ongoing fan complaints about her latest songs being in Spanish and fears that she was losing her original sound.

Others, however, are proud of her for going back to her roots and they’re loving her new sound. Having been born in Colombia, Uchis has always made sure to acknowledge her Colombian culture. In 2015, she shot the video for her single “Ridin Round” in her native city of Medellín, and her single “Nuestro Planeta” off of her debut album Isolation features popular Colombian artist Reykon.

Even though Uchis’ new album is in Spanish, she still made sure to experiment with many different sounds and genres, including Pop, R&B, Reggaeton, Soul and more. She teamed up with PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rico Nasty, Jhay Cortez and Jowell & Randy, bringing a variety of musical talent to the project.

Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios) has brought in many positive reviews, even from non-Spanish speakers, and the album has already reached the top spot on Apple Music’s Top Latin Albums chart as well as the top 10 for their Top US albums chart. Even though there have been some critics, most seem to be loving the Latin album.

Uchis’ fans are enjoying her new music while they wait for the day when they can finally hear the songs live. Be sure to stream the new album Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios), available now on all music streaming platforms.
