BLACKPINK’S Rosé Shares Music Video Teaser for First Solo Single ‘On The Ground’

BLACKPINK’S Rosé has shared a snippet of her first single “On The Ground” which is set to be released on Friday, March 12.

Roseanne Park, known by her mononym stage name, Rosé, has continued to tease her first single titled “On The Ground.” The talented BLACKPINK vocalist has been teasing her first solo single and first solo debut album titled -R- for a few weeks now. Rosé had initially teased one of her songs titled “Gone” during The Show which had been done on January 31. Rosé had co-written both songs with a prolific group of writers such as Teddy Park, who is famously attached to the K-Pop supergroup’s greatest hits.

The Australian-Korean singer-songwriter has received support from fellow BLACKPINK members Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, who have heavily promoted Rosé’s work on social media. On March 7, BLACKPINK took to Twitter to reveal the first music video teaser for “On The Ground.” That next day (March 8) the album’s tracklist poster had been revealed. Finally, on March 9, the music video trailer teaser number two had been released for “On The Ground.”

Rosé’s first music video teaser shows her quite dressed up. The 15-second snippet features Rosé in a stunning lavender dress and cream-colored fur coat as she longingly stares out a car window. The only words that are uttered in the video are that of the song title — “On The Ground.”

The second music video teaser opens up with a black and white still of a theatre. It then centers on Rosé in a series of outfits. In one still, she is in a short dress, and then she is wearing all black. Viewers get another small dose of lyrics when she sings, “Everything I need is off the ground.”
